Miguel is President of Brakkam Aviation Management, a global air transport consulting company. His aviation career spans 27 years with leadership posts at airports in Atlanta (ATL) and Miami. As General Manager of ATL, he was responsible for a combined $1 billion annual operating and capital budget. He led ATL to become the world’s first airport to transport over 100 million passengers in a single year; negotiated a landmark 20-year airline agreement with a $6 billion capital program; reversed ATL’s 4-year air cargo traffic decline; received a finding of Zero Discrepancy by the FAA in the airport’s annual safety audit – ATL’s first perfect score in 5 years; retained ATL’s ranking as the World’s Most Efficient Airport; and earned ISO 50001 Certification for ATL’s Energy Management System – the first U.S. airport to do so. He holds a Master’s Degree in International Business.
